Community transmission of COVID-19 appears to be contained and under control in New Zealand, allowing us to move progressively down the pandemic alert levels.
With a comprehensive COVID-19 safety plan in place, domestic New Zealand travel and tourism activities can operate safely by incorporating the ‘new norm’ of safe social distancing routines, appropriate PPE, stringent hygiene practices and hand washing, readily available sanitiser, contact tracing, smaller gathering numbers and travel prohibited for anyone who may be ill.
New Zealand’s borders stay closed for now, however, this measure is being monitored and reviewed. Later in 2020 (and into 2021), it is expected that our borders will open in a limited way to selected travellers from countries that have COVID-19 under control to levels equivalent with New Zealand.
Pacific Trailways will always put the health and safety of our staff, tour guests, suppliers and contractors first. You can expect us to apply all best practice Government authorised COVID-19 safety requirements within our working environment and on every tour or activity we offer.
To accommodate social distancing requirements, our tours will operate with reduced guest numbers during the period that COVID-19 safety measures are required. For enquiries about our COVID-19 policies or tours and activities, feel free to contact us:
