The New Zealand Government and Health Authorities continue their efforts to keep COVID-19 contained and under control in New Zealand, allowing Kiwis to travel within New Zealand with 'level appropriate' guidelines.
New Zealand’s borders stay closed for now, however this measure is being monitored and regularly reviewed.
Later in 2020 (and into 2021), it is hoped that our borders may re-open in a limited way to visitors from select countries that have COVID-19 under control to levels equivalent with New Zealand.
